The "Dirge" is a large scale non-objective contemporary painting. Each piece of this diptych measures 22"x 54". Painted on 100% cotton duct canvas stretched over 3" x1" bass wood frame. The image continues around the edges of the stretched canvas making framing optional. The primary elements in this work are texture, color and movement of form. "Dirge" meaning melancholy song, conveys to the viewer a peaceful sadness.
