The Art Studio dot Com is owned and operated by Juli J. McEachern-Havens.  Juli J. McEachern-Havens

Juli's works reflect her accomplishments in many phases of the arts; she is a former concert musician, a published poet, a theater set designer, as well as an award winning artist. Juli earned her degree in Fine Art from Auburn University. While she has lived and studied art in many areas of the country, she currently resides in Dallas Texas. Her works are exhibited in the U.S. and Internationally. The state Cultural Arts Award, the American Bicentennial Arts Award, and the Federation of Women's Clubs Art Award are but a few of her achievements.

Juli believes, "art provides the means by which cultures can communicate". As with language, art serves the same basic purpose of communication. The "language of art" maintains a state of constant evolution and may pursue many different avenues to achieve it's ultimate goal. Juli believes it is helpful to speak as many different languages as possible, to better communicate with her audience. A great wealth of texture, color and shape, add dimension to her art. While her works have a wide range of subjects styles and techniques, she maintains a personality through her works that is always distinctly identifiable.

I had an early childhood fascination with the organic properties of mud.
It has turned into a life long love of the natural textures and palettes of the rich red clays of Tennessee to the velvety black soils of Texas. This I believe is apparent in my work. I am inspired by the beautiful "found" patterns of the cracking dry earth, contrasted by the smooth flowing forms in the moist fresh mud, often surrounded by the glassy surface of water. As an artist I am constantly influenced by my surroundings. I have a preoccupation with the natural organic forms found in nature contrasted by the contrived creations of our industrial world. I often combine these elements always enjoying their motions, colors and textures. I have an undying curiosity for the process of art. My work is sometimes abstract, sometimes non-objective compositional and sometimes representational but always textural. As in three-dimensional art, the interaction of the surface of my work with its surrounding space is all-important to me. I have a deep appreciation for ancient history, science and the arts, which I utilize through many mediums and styles to express my ideas.
